The house is centrally located in the district of St. Gertrud and is an excellent base for your activities and excursions to Luebeck or the surrounding areas of Luebeck. Trude 44 is easy to reach from the motorway als well as by bus from the main railway station/central bus station or from Luebeck Airport.
Via the A1 you reach Hamburg (60 km) or the sunny island of Fehmarn (90 km ), via the A20 Wismar ( 55 km), Rostock (115 km) or Kiel (90 km). To the Schleswig Holstein Lake District (Eutin, Ploen, Malente ) it’s about 50 km and 20 km to the island town of Ratzeburg. Even Copenhagen in Denmark (270 km) is within reach via the “Vogelfluglinie” by train or car.
In front of the house there is enough parking space and the distance to the historic city is only 4 km (about 15 minutes by car or bike). 5 bus lines (bus stop “Im Gleisdreieck”: line 3 , 11; bus stop “Wesloer Brücke”: Line 4 , 10, 21) will take you to all important points in Luebeck and Bad Schwartau, with changing even to the Baltic coast with it’s beach resorts Travemünde, Timmendorfer Strand and Scharbeutz [www.stadtverkehr-luebeck.de]. If you take the car you’ll reach the beaches of Travemuende or Timmendorfer Strand within 15-20 minutes.

In close distance of the holiday house is the forest area “Lauerholz”, with 960 hectares Luebeck’s largest forest park. You will find numerous hiking, biking and horseback riding trails, here you can enjoy beautiful and relaxing walks or start a healthy day with a jog (the lady of the house is an enthusiastic runner by herself and can give you approved route suggestions for any distance).
In about 15 minutes biking distance you can visit the guarded swimming spot “Der kleine See” by the river Wakenitz ” [www.kleiner-see-luebeck.de] with a sandy beach, lawn for sunbathing and playground, a welcomed and quick cooling down on hot summer days an for inbetween.
For your daily supply a range of shops are within walking distance in the neighborhood: supermarket, discounter, bakery, pharmacy, florist, cafe, hairdresser, Chinese Restaurant, garden center, DIY store. Furthermore in a 2 km distance you’ll find in the community center “Kaufhof” different banks, snack bars, restaurants, butcher’s , organic supermarket, various discounters and drug stores, ice cream parlour, cafés, petrol station, post office, medical centers etc.
